New for with Marella Cruises – There will be the addition of the Marella Explorer 2 for sailings from May The ship has a large number of cabins with balconies and offers two new cabin options. The Marella Explorer 2 is an adult only ship and like all the other Marella ships from will be based on all inclusive. For there will be 11 new itineraries and seven new ports of call will be added as well. So you can enjoy destinations such as Skagen in Denmark, Castellon in Spain, Alta in Norway and more.
Marella cruises offer a great range of holiday options. You can cruise and stay or even stay on-board for a second weeks cruise. Tui holidays offer the option to add-on accommodation to extend your holiday. You can add-on a hotel of your choice either before or after your 7 night cruise. Alternatively you can stay on-board and enjoy another week cruising a different itinerary. Marella cruises are generally based in great holiday destinations to enable you to access the ships easily from many UK airports. Plus you also have access to lots of great resorts and accommodation if you do want to enjoy a cruises and stay holiday.
If you have never cruised before the best way to think about it is that you are on-board a floating hotel or resort. The ships have lots of things to do and enjoy whist you are on-board. Plus for families there are kids’ clubs and family entertainment. Some of the Marella ships even have cinemas and activities on the sports decks! There is lots to enjoy and some days you wake up with access to somewhere new to explore. You can usually wander off yourselves or book a cruise excursion if there is something special you want to see or visit.
Marella All Inclusive Cruises 2024
Normally cruises include all your meals and snacks and Marella cruises are no different. However many cruise firms do add-on port taxes and tips. Fortunately Marella cruises include these in the cost of the holiday. Also popular is that Marella are all inclusive cruises where drinks are also included as well as everything else.
Generally the Marella ships will be based in Palma, Corfu, Malaga and Dubrovnik. These destinations are served by Tui Airways flights from many UK airports especially Palma.
Marella Explorer Cruises
Marella Explorer is one of the largest ships in the Marella fleet and features lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. It also has a Sport & Family deck, casino and an indoor cinema. There are 13 decks on the Explorer with around 960 cabins for around 1,900 passengers. The ships offer a variety of cabin options from inside to an executive suite with premium service. There are various places to go in the evenings to enjoy a drink plus the propular Broadway show lounge. For family cruises the ship has a kids’ club plus the hideout for older children and teens to hang out.
Marella Explorer 2 Cruises
This is the newest ship to the Marella fleet and will feature new cabin types including the Royal Suite which comes with it’s own whirlpool. Around 40% of the 907 cabins will have balconies. This ship will feature adult only cruises only and will like all the ships become all inclusive as standard.

Marella Discovery & Discovery 2 Cruises
Marella cruises have the Discovery & the Discovery, 2 sister ships both the same offering the same great facilities. The ships have 11 decks and around 900 cabins which accommodate around 1820 passengers. The Discovery cabins include options from inside cabins to the Royal Suite which can sleep up to 4 people. It also boasts a baby grand piano and a whirlpool bath. The Marella Discovery ships are great for a family cruise holiday and have kids’ clubs, mini golf, escape room challenge (cost), the hideout for older children and teenagers. For younger children there is the baby centre and Babytainment. The ships offers a variety of evening entertainment options from quizzes, karaoke, films, casino and the west end style shows in the show lounge.

Marella Dream Cruises
The Marella is one of the smaller Marella ships with around 760 cabins and caters for around 1,500 passengers. The ship has 12 decks and offers inside cabins to a grand suite with balcony and premier service on deck 11. There is a kids’ club and kids’ pool to keep the children happy. There are various bars and restaurants and the main entertainment in the evenings is in the Broadway Show Lounge or you could opt to go to the Medusa lounge bar which has live bands and cabaret. There is also a dance floor if you fancy a dance or you can sit back, enjoy a drink and enjoy the atmosphere. The ship also has a gym, spa and beauty salon. There are board and card games in the card room if you want to get a few friends for some fun. Alternatively you could head for the casino which is open when the ship is at sea.

Marella Celebration Cruises (no longer in service)
Another of the smaller ships in the Marella fleet with just over 600 cabins which can cater for over 1,200 passengers. The ship has 10 decks plus 5 restaurants, 6 bars and a couple of pools. There is also a beauty salon and spa if you want to treat yourself to a treatment. There is a kids’ club for children aged from 3 to 11. The kids’ club offers activities such as treasure hunts plus arts and crafts and themed parties. For the adults there are 6 bars to choose from plus shows in the Broadway Show Lounge. There is also a gym, shops, coffee shop, card room and casino as well.

Whatever Marella cruise you decide to go for make sure that the ship offers everything you need as some of the smaller ships don’t have as much to offer as the larger ones. However they will still let you have a great holiday plus their itineraries may be better for you. Not all ships offer all inclusive cruises so either add-on the drinks deal if you can to upgrade to all inclusive. If you are looking at other cruise options remember that Marella cruises include taxes and tips plus some of the cruises also include your drinks as well. Most people will go on some excursions so remember to budget for that before you go.
